New York’s iconic, iconic hospital is the latest medical institution to get a revamp.
On Tuesday, the network’s 10th Doctor starring Michael Gambon will premiere on CBS for the first time since the show’s cancellation in 2016.
The revival, starring John Cusack, Will Arnett, and new stars Dominic Cooper and Sarah Shahi, is set in New York City’s East Village and is being co-written by New York transplant and TV vet David Shore.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr Manhattan to CBS,” said CBS president and CEO Les Moonves.
“We’ve seen his impact on New York, his impact as a physician, and we are thrilled to introduce the iconic and innovative new Doctor to CBS.”
The move comes on the heels of other changes to the show, including its upcoming second season featuring new doctors, an extended story arc, and a new musical number.
The network also revealed a special episode of The Doctors, starring actor Dominic Cooper, will air on October 13.
The 10th Doctors is one of CBS’s most popular shows.
